15 Week Update

So you all have been very, very patient, so you deserve a little update. Nothing too exciting has happened. I'm in the awkward stage when people notice I've put on some pounds, but aren't quite confident enough to ask if I'm pregnant. So I just look like I'm getting chunky – I wasn’t prepared for my baby bump to grow in front and on my hips.

Also, we replaced our beloved Diesel - about a week after we put him down. Some people may think we're crazy, but I think the new addition is working out nicely. Dakota is a German Shepherd and is about four months now. I'll post some pictures once I get them downloaded onto the computer.

Here is the baby update from babycenter.com:
"The baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). The baby is busy moving amniotic fluid through its nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in the lungs begin to develop. The baby's legs are growing longer than its arms now, and can move all of its joints and limbs. Although its eyelids are still fused shut, the baby can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at the tummy, the baby is likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for the baby to taste at this point, but it is forming taste buds."
